Children killed by bombs | Museum charges | No explanations necessary | Trump’s measurements | Origins of ‘lashings’ The report of a much-loved six-year-old girl killed in Lebanon by an Israeli bomb reduced me to tears ( ‘My heart is breaking’: Lebanese family grieve daughter killed by Israeli bomb, 27 Friday ). We’re reaching the point where the easiest thing would be to look away, but we absolutely must not. It’s the least we can do, surely? Helen Beioley Stroud, Gloucestershire • Perhaps the ministers who are considering charging international tourists for access to museum collections ( Ministers consider charging tourists to enter national museums in England, 26 March ) could include some form of discount for those tourists who are viewing artefacts that were created by their ancestors and were once the property of their respective countries.
