US President Donald Trump has waded into the AI safety debate raging between Silicon Valley and Washington. In a rapid-fire series of social media posts, Trump belittled a push led by Anthropic and OpenAI bosses to slow work on cutting-edge systems and dismissed the existential fears about AI as “a hoax.” Michael Wade, Professor of Strategy and Digital at the IMD business school in Switzerland spoke to Bloomberg’s Abeer Abu Omar on the need for AI guardrails.
