Tim Cahill, president of missiles and fire control at Lockheed Martin, said that the new generation of Patriot interceptor is designed to take on threats the US military will face in next three to five years and give the military and allies a 'much broader range of options' for missile defense. Cahill said that when it comes to cost, its important to find a 'sweet spot' between making systems affordable and still capable to withstand a launch environment. (Source: Bloomberg)
