Intesa Sanpaolo CEO Carlo Messina discusses the lender's offer to buy Italian rival Banca Monte dei Paschi for €30.6 billion ($35.3 billion). "The only real offer now in the market is the Intesa Sanpaolo offer," Messina tells Bloomberg's Francine Lacqua, calling Banco BPM's proposal of a merger of equals merely a "love letter."
