Democratic Representative Ro Khanna said he expects the House will have enough votes to pass a measure that calls for the release of all government files related to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. 218 votes are needed on the discharge petition. A congressional committee on Wednesday released some 20,000 pages of documents, pivoting attention away from the ongoing government shutdown and forcing the White House to respond to an issue that has frustrated the president and drawn scrutiny from parts of his base.
