Blue Owl Capital Inc. has scrapped a planned merger of two of its private credit funds after scrutiny arose over potential losses for some investors. Blue Owl will work with the fund's board to find a liquidity solution for investors, with all options on the table, including listing the fund or selling assets. As stress has started to rise in private credit, borrowers have struggled with their liabilities, and rate cuts have trimmed how much lenders can earn on loans.
